CARTM needs two special volunteers, each willing to “own” a piece of The Refindery:

Building Materials Star is responsible for stocking and straightening the building materials and outdoor sales department. Works with staff to identify items for display. Changes out items seasonally. Want to make sure quality used stuff gets back into use by do-it-yourselfers? Lets move!

CARTM is a great place to work.

We care about our employees and our volunteers. We are proud of our team and the service they provide our community. Our number one concern is their safety. (Number two is providing the very best customer service).  CARTM has an excellent safety program.

Employees at CARTM are cross trained to be knowledgeable in all aspects of CARTM’s operations. Their jobs are never-ever boring. They come to work prepared to operate heavy equipment, calculate fees, monitor and service the recycling line, run the cash register, sort, clean and price donated items, and make 1000 lb. bales of everything from tin cans to milk jugs. They all have good communication skills and work as a team.

Employment availabilities will be posted in The Refindery reuse store and on this website.  Applications are always available from the cashier during open hours. We review prior applications when positions become available; keep applications on file for 6 months.
